1. Introduction

Mistify (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a location-based social media app operated by Thunderbird Technologies SMC Pvt Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Mistify.

We act as the Data Controller for all personal data processed through the Mistify mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Registration & Authentication

When creating an account, we collect:

• Full Name
• Date of Birth
• Gender (optional)
• Either:
  • Phone Number (for OTP verification), or
  • Google Account (email + name), or
  • Apple Sign-In (name + email, if shared)

Authentication is securely handled using Firebase Authentication.

b. Media & Location Data

• When you create a post, you may upload photos or videos.
• The app requests access to:
  • Camera
  • Photo Gallery
  • Approximate and/or precise location
• Permission is requested only when you create a post, never for browsing or other features.

Your location is used solely to attach a post to a place on the map and to show relevant posts nearby.

Mistify does not track your location continuously and does not collect background location data.
